The model answered before I finished reading the prompt — and it was right. I sat with that for a while, the cursor blinking, my coffee going cold.
There’s a reflex to feel small in that moment. I’ve decided to feel something else instead: that my job is no longer to be faster than the machine, but to know when it’s wrong. That’s a different skill, and nobody handed me a manual for it.
So I’m writing my own, one entry at a time.
